Some 38% of people living in Jasper County are fully vaccinated as of Dec. 7, according to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention considers someone fully vaccinated two weeks after they’ve been given a single-dose shot (Johnson & Johnson) or a second shot (either Pfizer or Moderna).
South Carolina reported 925,629 total cases of the coronavirus, an increase of 0.80% from the week before.
The five counties with the highest percentage of their populations fully vaccinated in South Carolina as of Dec. 7 are Beaufort County (66%), Charleston County (63%), Horry County (59%), Richland County (58%) and Hampton County (58%).
