A happy place for car enthusiasts

Tony Vasquez had a problem. He offered vintage vehicles on the Internet and kept his prized cars in a hot, humid warehouse, which is not an ideal location to showcase his products to potential buyers. The solution was to create an inviting showroom that visitors from all over the world could go to view vintage cars in a welcoming family-friendly setting. Once word got out Vasquez was a showroom owner, sellers were flocking to him to sell their vehicles on consignment in the safest of spaces and more organized than the untamed wilderness of Craigslist.
Savannah Classic Cars and Museum was opened in the year 2018 and is a great spot to explore the history of cars — or to purchase a sleek classic Corvette. Slot cars are available for kids as well as video game-driving simulators that let you test your skills, oldies playing on the stereo, a gift shop, and a model of a classic gas station that transports you back in time to the 1950s. Since Vasquez sells a half dozen cars a month, the collection displayed is always changing which makes the museum perfect for repeated visits from automotive enthusiasts.
Savannah Classic Cars also do restoration work right next door. While walking through the garage, visitors will see unrecognizable chunks of metal that have been rusty transformed into sparkling, mean machines. Another feature of this museum’s collection is the area where it was built. The warehouse that was once in use was constructed in 1954 and was used as a plant to make boxes.
Although the majority of cars are available at auction, Savannah Classic Cars occasionally exhibit museum-quality cars. Maybe it might show the batmobile or ‘Smokey and the Bandit’ 1977 Pontiac Trans Am. They had an Aston Martin that caught my eye last year. Maybe one day…😎
