The Gallery Espresso
The locally-owned mom-and-pop coffee shop The Gallery Espresso, owned by Julianne Davis and her daughter Jessica Barnhill, offers an antique morning coffee vibe and makes homemade cheesecakes and desserts. It has been visited by celebrities including Ben Affleck, Jennifer Lopez, and Natalie Portman.
Franklin’s is a higher-end casual coffee shop with a European twist. They source their beans from Counter Culture, a North Carolina roaster known for being organic and ethical.
Franklin’s creative director, Robby Perkins, took inspiration from European-style designs and the Ralph Warren Cafe in New York to design their trending sandwich, the High Roller.
The Sentient Bean
The Sentient Bean is a female and queer-oriented coffee shop that prides itself on being environmentally friendly. They source their beans from Cafe Campesino and incorporate local herbs into their coffee.
The Sentient Bean is open 363 days a year and will be holding band performances and drag shows soon.
VEL is here if you work from home and need a change of scenery or a quiet place to meet coworkers. They offer private booths and source their beans from Amavida, a coffee trading company based in Flordia.
VEL plans to open locations in Charlotte, Nashville, Charleston and Chicago. They are the only coworking space in Savannah.
The cafe is colorful and full of something new each day. The owner saw a need for affordable food in the Savannah downtown area, and the food is pretty filling.
Waters Cafe allows artists to post flyers for upcoming events and would like to host events in the near future.

Savannah Coffee Roasters is the oldest roasting company in Savannah and has reliable coffee and space for students to study. They source their beans from all over the world.
