The United States is racing toward a severe caregiver shortage with expectations that the issue will continue through 2028. The COVID-19 pandemic exacerbated this problem. Here we will statistically examine how all 50 states are handling the caregiver crisis, how this issue came about and the complex reasons it’s continuing to grow.
